Frequently Asked Questions
Thunkable offers live testing on your phone. When you’re happy you can publish your app on iOS and Android through their stores.
Almost anything! You can make apps for booking, events, forms, or even custom tools (someone even built a calculator!). If you can think it, you can build it. And again, with 0 code.
Freelance and agency app development typically runs $10,000 to $100,000 or more and takes months, largely because it requires separate design, engineering, and app-store submission work. Thunkable lets one person build, design, and publish a native app themselves, starting on a free plan, collapsing that cost and timeline into a single platform and a matter of days or weeks rather than months.
Private projects can only be shared with other paid subscribers. Please note: If you share your project with another user, they can share the project and make the project public.
Our Free plan does not include private projects. All paid plans include private projects. Maintaining a paid subscription will allow you to keep your projects private. If you downgrade to Free, your projects will be put into read-only mode and may be deleted after inactivity for a significant amount of time.
If your Thunkable subscription expires, your private project will be set to private “read-only” mode. You will not be able to edit or maintain your app unless you renew your subscription. And if your subscription expires, any published apps will become unavailable for your end users. (For users on Pro or Business plans, your published apps will be unaffected if your account expires).
A testing download is meant for you to test your app when it is installed on a device. These downloads will expire after 72 hours. A distribution download is meant to be circulated with your user outside of the app marketplaces and will not expire. As long as your paid subscription remains active, these apps will remain available for your end users.
